Diesel LPG Conversions

Q. What are the advantages of LPG?
A. Due to it's higher octane content and the fact that it is a gas, engine combustion is smoother and quieter. Also, because it contain no additives, unlike petrol or diesel, it burns cleaner, which is better for the environment and helps prolong engine and component life.

Q. Why is LPG so cheap?
A. The duty the government charges on LPG is considerably less that on petrol, in order to encourage it's use. The 2004 budget was good news for autogas. The Chancellor announced that the differential in duty between automotive LPG and petrol and diesel would be cut by only one penny per litre per year over each of the next three years.

Q. How long will it take to recover the conversion cost?
A. On average, the cost of conversion should normally be recovered in the first year by the reduction in fuel costs. Conversion prices start at £995 plus VAT.

Q. Will my car loose performance?
A. There is little or no difference in fuel efficiency or performance, on new cars, fitted with catalytic converters using modem sequential LPG systems.

Q. Where can I get LPG?
A. At the present time in mainland UK, there are over 1100 LP gas refueling stations, the locations of which can be found on our website. This number is growing all the time, and as all our conversions are duel fuel, you will have the backup of petrol, should you run low.

Q. Where do you fit the tank?
A. The tank goes normally in the boot or in the spare wheel compartment. Your vehicle's tyres can be filled with a special compound which will make them virtually puncture proof, thus eliminating the need for a spare tyre.

Q. Can diesels be converted to LPG?
A. Yes, we can now offer diesel LPG conversions. Get the facts-not fiction. Details here

Q. Will fitting affect my cars warranty?
A. In a word, no! Under European law, manufacturers cannot invalidate the warranty of your vehicle if it is converted to LPG. In the unlikely event that the LPG unit is at fault, all our conversions are fully guaranteed.

Q. Is it safe?
A.
The automotive use of LPG has an excellent safety record and various crash tests and fire tests have proved that, due to the strength of the fuel tank, it is safer than petrol and on a par with diesel. In fact, LPG pressurised fuel tanks have been developed to such a high standard that they can withstand the equivalent of a three ton direct hit.

Q. How do I get a quote?
